Well, Canada has just celebrated another birthday! Now, as our nation starts its 149th year, I thought this would be a great time to reflect upon what a great nation we live in. Now, obviously it’s not perfect. Our past is a little more checkered than I wish it was. I mean, we had the residential schools and the Chinese head tax. What can we say about these two, very dark periods in our young history? Shameful? Embarrassing? To say the least! Even today, there are problems that must be dealt with. For now though, let’s focus on the positives and hope for an even better future. I think a powerful way to do this is to ask ourselves” What do I love about Canada” In answering this question we are able to focus on the positive. When we do this, we become better people, and our great nation will become an even greater nation.
